Week 2 Down!

Okay so i wish i could read the emails as they come, but i have to wait to do anything for emailing until the time slot from 2-3 p.m on Thursdays. all i can do is journal my basic big email to everyone daily in my notes, but its hard having a tablet because i see every time i get a new email, but its worth the wait. Love you a ton, and i reeaaallly miss you guys, but especially my mom, and my jojo..

Hello again!!!
Okay so this week went by so fast, but I will try to do the best I can to give "detail"...
Last Thursday:
SO it was the first day I got to email home!  Emailing you guys, and reading all of your sweet emails made my week, and just made me so happy! Okay so for our first P-DAY, all of the missionaries were going to the plaza mayor, but because of the short notice of me coming here, they did not have any of my paperwork for my residency, and citizenship, so when all of the other Spain missionaries went, I went with my companion, even though I couldn't do anything.. So that residency thing happened on like Monday for everyone else but not for me, so on the day I emailed y'all the first time I had just gotten back from doing my residency thing, so went didn't get to go to the plaza mayor.
Friday:
SO today was pretty sweet! Elder Kelly asked me to sing in sacrament meeting, for Sunday, I'm going to sing "Abide with me tis eventide"... Classic. Hna. Twede, on of the Hna's in my room is "pianoeing" for me. Oh and tomorrow were going back to the park! MONEY...

Saturday:
Que pasa mufasa..    I guess its a saying down here, or up here.. Any who, so today we had the blessing of being able to proselyte in retiro park again, which let me tell ya, is a giant park! So for the park we switch companions so I got to be with Hna. Martens, who was really fun. She was telling me about how sh was a convert of like three years and how she was so excited to be here. I guess that she moved around a ton like I did because her dad is in the air force, but it was fun just getting to know here. OH, crazy miracle happened in the park too! SO Hna. Martens felt inspired to bring a Russian BOM to he park with her, which i thought was a little odd, but didn't say anything. (If i was walking on water, i would a sunk.) SO we get to the park and talked to a ton of people, and handed out some BOM's, and it was kind of winding down so we were on our way out, and i just got the feeling to go down this specific path the get out, and then seconds later we met this Russian couple and were able to give them a BOM, and talk to them with the little English they know. Super cool, and the whole time i was talking to them, every time and English word wanted to come out, only Spanish would..
Sunday:
Okay, i sang in sacrament meeting today. I know, I know.. CRAE CRAE. SO i was a little nervous sing a friggin solo infont of all these missionaries, but then the 4 speakers before my song were having to talking Russian so then i didn't feel so bad. Oh and then that night we sang out on the temple steps, and it was pretty awesome. and hot.

Monday:
Okay, so i don't know what it was but me, and three other Hna's and two elders all got food poisoning or something, so its a bit of a harry situation. Or as some would call it, a "Double bearded dragon". (HURDSDOG)! it was rough, but my district made me a card, and i got better by the next morning, and have been fine since. Oh so every Sunday night we write letters to president and then we get them back on Monday, and he writes little comments, and advice, and answers to questions, and i got mine back today and he just gave me some really great advice, and life, and studying. Super helpful!
Tuesday:
Not much happened today, just normal schedule, but i found out that Friday will be the last lesson with our fake investigators, but that on Monday we get 2 new ones... little nervous about that, but grateful that i get to teach someone who hasn't heard just how bad Spanish can get. toodles.

Wednesday:
So this week has seriously gone bye so fast! Alright so this coming Tuesday is that last day for all of the missionaries going to Russia, and Portugal. That's like half of the CCM, and then we are getting a bunch of new Russians, and Spain missionaries on Tuesday, which will be super cool! SO anyway one of the Russian sister went to BYU-Idaho before her mission and we were there at the same time, so as i have been here i have gotten to know her and we have gotten super tight!, Her name is sister Lundskog, and she is from Portland, Oregon!! whoot Whoot!!  Okay so we were sitting at lunch the other day with her and out of the blue she asked me if i would want to room with here when we get off our missions and go back to idaho, and of course i said yes. She seriously is the coolest person. She totally reminds me of megan grant for some reason, she person i swear.

Thusrday:
SO today is P-Day and went to the archaeological museum, and got back and ate lunch and now im emailing you. Oh and i got all the way to the museum and realized that i had left my memory card in my tablet from last Thursday and so i could take any pictures but i am going to make so people email me some, so sorry about no pictures this week, i will do better next time. LOVE you guys so much!!!

So i have been making a catalog of scriptures for specific things and i thought i would share it with you, and try to add on to it each week.
D&C 100: 1-17 ( when in doubt)
D&C 42: 2-29 (two by two)
2 Nephi 1: 13-25 (when you need a pep talk from dad)
2 Nephi 2: 4-50 (when you need the atonement, so always)
2 Nephi 7: 10-11 (walk in the light of your fire... My favorite!)
D&C 98: 2-3 (Promises and blessing)
Alma 32: 23 ( everyone deserves to hear the good word)
2 Nephi 26: 23-33 (come unto me)
2 Nephi 27: 23 (the lord doesn't change)
2 Nephi 28: 21-32 (precept upon precept)
2 Nephi 31: 19-20 ( when you need comfort)
Jacob 3: 1-2 (when you wonder why your prayers aren't getting answered)
Jacob 4: (Some more atonement)
Jacob 4: 13 ( the spirit speaks truth.

Oh, tell uncle Doug, and aunt Terri that i love them and that i really appreciate their help with my mission. Sorry, but i have been starting the BOM over again, and let me tell ya, Nephi, and his brother Jacob are money$$. Good stuff, so if you get a chance this week read them, or for mom, listen to them on the way to work! Love ya!!!

SHE LIVES!

Just received this email this morning and it made my life!

Hey!
Okay so I'm just gunna write a little about everyday here, and the schedule and the cool experiences that I've had, an then at the end i will try to answer everybodys questions, vale?
TUESDAY:
Okay so I flew from Houston to Frankfurt, and then me and 47 other missionaries flew from Frankfurt to Madrid on the mae plane. IT was really cool, just seeing all of those people in hte same exact situation as  me. Okay so when we landed we got our luggag and stuff and then we walked around and found the people from the CCM (MTC), and then the loaded us all on some buses nd drove us the the CCM, which is on the outskirts of madrid, in Pavones. The CCM shares a plaza with the Madrid temple, which is super pretty, and a stake center. SO it is in this big red building, but it only takes up 3 floors. President Jackson and his wife welcomed us and we had a devotional about being a missionary. Oh and I thought that I would get my tag then but they said that we would have to wait unil the next day. SO then we left and went o th 6th floor and had lunch, and let me tell ya, the food is super amazing! I got paella!!! After that meeting, we went back down and president told us basically that he couldent assign companions until afte he had met us, so in the time it took for us to eat lunch, he prayed and recieved revelation for who was going to be our comapanions! MY companion id HNA. Cristensen, wh is pale, and a ginger. LIke two peas in a pod?  And then we went to bed.
WEDNESDAY:
Okay so it turns out that learning a language s actually really hard. Who knew. So our basic routine is the wake up and get ready, eat breakfast, and then we ae in class for about 4 hours at a time, but we get losts of breaks and also some devotionals nd fireides so we dont get bored. Today we got a really good devotional on how imortant it is that when your teaching investagators, to teach them, not the lesson. Thats about it.
THURDAY:
OKay, So normally today would be our P-day, but since we just got here it is not really, so we went to class in the morning, and then in the afternoon we got to go to the temple, which as alwas was super marvelous! Then after the temple, President showed a powerpoint on the temple that was written by Presidnt Monson especially for misionaries, and it was a really spiritual experience. So my room is basically he size of jos, but there are two sets of bunk beds, and a pull out bed. There is one bathroom in our room, so I shwer in the communiy bathroom which is way more comfortable. MY roomates are the cats pajamas, super cool, and just not wierd... Its nice, ya know.
FRIDAY:
SO today was even better than yesterday, We had a seminar on la idioma (the language), or SYL which means speak your language. Anyhow, im really loving all the ackronyms I get to use know, makes me feel in the know.. Something that they keep telling us is how importan it is for us to love the people, and how if that is your main priority then the language will come. Okay so after the seminar, my district, who by the way is called MORONI, we talked, and really got to know eachother, and they are way cool, oh by the way, HNA. Christensen and i are the only sister in our district. Oh and they told us today thhat we will get to to got proselyte in the park tomorrow for two hours. sounds cool except all the people here speak spanish and i speak no that.
SATURDAY:
OKay so today went to th park, which is massie, and super pretty. Its called retiro park i think, look it up. So i was not with my companion, but i was put with some sister who are learning russian, bless their hearts. BUt we went and it as amazing, i was in a tro, and the only one who could speak any spanis, but the lord blessed us in our efforts and we got to refferals and haded out like 5,000 pass along card, and three book of mormons. Most of the people we tried to talk to had no clue what i was trying to tell them, and then we ran into like 6 people who spoke english, so tender mercy there folks.
SUNDAY:
Okay so today was church, which has been the best day so far. I basically cried the whole time, like not just church but the whole day..  Waterproof mascara, im telling you. Oh and persident basically just tell us all to prepar talks on one subject and he will call on us in sacrament metting if he feels like e shuld talk, so my comapnions got called in sacrament meeting. but she killed it. Oh and we hd an amazing lesson with president packer about the atonement... I MEAN LIFE CHANGING!!!
MONDAY:
So today was our first lesson with our fake investagator, who is one of ur teachers, but it was stil pretty crazy, and we had to teach in espanol o that was pretty intense. It went well but now we teach her everyday except thusday and sunday, so we basically have to prepare a lesson for her everday.. Crazy, just because we really dont get a ton o time, or how much i would like. BUt it is really good practice.
TUESDAY:
SO today has been prety normal, we just had class. SO none of our teachers really speak english, but their sanish is not hard to understand and i can really understand almost all of what they are saying to us. Its totally awesome because all of our teachers are from south america bassically so i can understand them, but peope from spain i cant understand at all. BUt during our lesson today totally saw the gist of tounges or the don de lenguas work in my life. I DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHAT I WAS SAYING!!!   but apparently our investagator did..
WEDNESDAY:
OH Man, so i have the worst blister on the back of my heels from playing futbol, and ultimate frisbee. and they are really gross. SO anywho, i really love being here, the spirit here is really amazing. And ive totally noticed that my "Hablaing" has gotten better.

well i love yall, i have run out of time today, i will try to be more organized next time. hope you all have a good week, and love you again...

Well this morning at 5:30 I got an email:

Hey I'm at the Frankfurt airport with a ton of other missionaries, and am about to board the plane to Madrid! Love ya, see ya in a year and a half.

Then at 1:15 pm today I received this email:

Hey!!! SO I currently am sitting in the Spain, Madrid MTC. I arrived
safely, and then we had a welcome from the president. We all walked,
all 48 of us and he knew all of our names individually. I think that
he is magician. My first, and new companion is Sister Christensen, and
she is super cool. We met at the airport earlier and ended up talking,
we had so much in common we both thought that we would be companions,
and then we were!! I love y'all, and i found out that my next P day
will be a week from Thursday. so i will email you then. Be safe!!

Packing Food and Flight

Well,
Taylor and I spend several hours packing to get ready for her flight. moving things from one bag to another and weighing them to make sure they weren't over 50lbs.. We finally ended up with 2) 50lb-ish bags and 1 carry on.
After a good nights rest we got up and went for one last Breakfast at Whataburger..

Ran a few more errands and had family lunch together at Olive Garden so Taylor could get some yummy Alfredo before going to Spain for 18 months.

mmmm.

Next stop.. the Airport :(
