Okay, this week we ran out of Book of Mormons completly in spanish and english, but we still have a few in portugese. Okay there have been so many things that have happened this week, I will try my hardest to capture everything!
LUNES:
Okay so we don't ever do cool stuff for P-Day because there is nothing to do in Leon and it's really cold.. So all that we did was window shopping, cleaning, and writing you guys. Then we had a few cita's set up for the evening but they failed us, but we got to walk around, and talk to people so, that is never a bad thing. *Some jehovahs witnesses stopped us and gave us some pamphlets and stuff, and now I understand why everyone has "Prisa" which means that they are in a rush. We definitly had some "Prisa" in that moment, but you can only run so fast in a skirt. No, but it was actually kind of hilarious.
MARTES:
Okay, so we left the piso and went to pass-by some people, and we finally had a lesson with a pass-by! So her name is roas, and we know her son and her son's girlfriend, but we had never taught her. So we passed by and she was home and we taught her and it went really great. The cool thing is that she is bestfriends with our mission leader, and his wife. So we have an "in" there. After that we went to the train station and were looking at the schedules for this certain pueblo, and we bought our tickets without realizing that you can't buy them in advance. So we bought our tickets and then figured this out, and asked the lady is we could exchange them for another day and she said no. So we felt pretty blonde, but we did it right the next time. Then we went to the bus station, and bought our tickets for La Baneza, and then went to La Baneza. We visited this super sweet member named Angeli, who is the bestfriend of our investgator. So we taught her ina cafeteria, and this drunk guy like pulled up a chair, and for some reason he thought I was from Germany so he was speaking german to me, as we trying to have this lesson. It was crazy, and his breath reeked. Even though it was super akward, it was still kind of funny, although I have never wanted to punch someone so bad before in my life. "I didn't punch him". Then we met this columbian lady, who wanted to learn english, and about the Book of Mormon; So all I have to offer. She promised to make us Arepas! I can't wait to teach her.
MIERCOLES:
Okay so we didn't have District meeting, so we did Carpeta in the morning. Then we left and had a lesson with carmen, which went really well. So we brought with us, Lucy who is a member. We taught her OLA which is Orar, Leer, y Asistir which mean pray, read, and come to church. Becuase if you have ever wanted to recieve an answer to a pray, comfort, peace, to grow your faith, this is the pattern. To pray with te hope that god will answer you. Then we went and tuahgt fanny who is a less active member, also with lucy. It was fun. We helped her fix her clothes dryer. Then we trekked back to the piso through to bitter cold, and then had hot choclate.
JUEVES:
So in the morning we planned, and then passed by carmen who is doing rehabilitation in the hospital. Then we had Maribel and her family! So we found out that the dad, "Moises" after months and months of looking for a job, finally found one. So he is working now which for me is a miracle, and evidence that if your doing what the lord want's you to do, he will bless you with the things that you need. The lesson was awesome; We saw the video of the restoration, with our mission leader and his wife.
VIERNES:
So we went to visit one of our members who lives super far away. In fact so far that we had to take a train through the spanish mountains. She lives in a teeny tiny pueblo called La Ercina. Okay so pedro (our mission leader) had told us that she lived in Bonyar which is a bigger pueblo for that region of Leon. So we took the train, and got off in Bonyar. We call raquel, the lady we were going to visit to see where she lived. She answer, "Well I'm at the train station and no one is here." OH CRAP. We definitly got off at the wrong stop, because we thought she live in Bonyar. So we were stranded there for 4 hours without a taxi waiting for the train to pass by. So since we coulden't visit her we had to put off our visit with her until the following day. But! The cool thing is that the whole ride up, and the whole time we were there, it was snowing. There was a bunch of snow on the ground, and it was snowing the whole time. It was so fun. Then we had a lesson with our the rivera's which was really cool. Then we had a going away Noche de Rama for Mosiah who is going to leave for his mission in Brasil in a 2 weeks. It was a little awkward, because it was a surprise, and there were only 8 people there, not even president came; and they made him put on the armour of god which.... well.. The food was good though.
SABADO:
Okay so this time we got it right. We went to the right pueblo and visited Raquel. She lives in a house, which it felt nice to be in house, but it is really old. She lives in one tiny room of the house, with a couch and TV, nd the rest is just abandoned. She doesn't have a heater (as it is snowing) and she onyl has electrcity in this tiny room. Her front doors don't close so they just stay open all the time. In the tiny pueblo that she lives in, there are only 3 other people. Almost all of the houses are abaondoned, or left desolate. Anyho we met all of the people ho live there. We ended up teaching her friend named vicente there with her which was fun. Also she grows all of her own food. She doesn't buy anything. It's cool, but she also needs a lot of help so we are going to go back next eek and fix her place up little bit and build her a chicken coup, and help her turn this other part of the house tht has insulation into a little apartment. Anyhow so we visited her, and then we got back to Leon, and saw Maria Dolores, and then had English clases.
DOMINGO:
So we had church like noral, and talked with ruben who is mosiahs dad, abouthim leaving, and about how awesome of a missionary he is going to be. Then after church we had a bunch of lessons set up, but they all failed so then we contacted for a little while, but we foud a ton of awesome people. Then we had dinner with the familia rivera which as always is a blast!
LUNES:
So basically we have just spent the whole day with Maria Dolores. She fed us, then we talked with her about life, and then we took a nap with her. Now were writing.
